Blue Water Speech Therapy is a family centered practice serving Michigan in Clarkston, Lake Orion and the surrounding areas. We provide pediatric speech, language and feeding therapy services on location in homes, private schools and childcare centers.

All therapy services are provided by a therapist who is certified by the
American Speech-Language Hearing Association and state licensed.
Brief Screening: $25
At the parent’s request, we offer a brief screening to identify potential deficits in speech and language. If the screening indicates the need for further assessment, the cost of the screening may be applied toward the cost of the evaluation.
Comprehensive Evaluation: $150-250
An evaluation is performed by a therapist to determine current strengths and weaknesses. Evaluations are an in-depth look at the child’s communication or feeding skills. The SLP assesses the child's speech sounds and language skills using standardized tests. Parents and physicians will receive a written evaluation report, complete with assessment results, informal observations, background information, and recommendations.
Speech, Language and Feeding Therapy Session: $65 (30 minutes)
Based on the results of the evaluation, the SLP will develop a customized therapy program to address the areas of concern. The SLP works with the child to help overcome communication and feeding challenges using research-driven strategies and techniques. Parents are encouraged to participate in therapy in order to learn strategies for helping the child at home. Therapy is provided on location or via online teletherapy. Based on recommendations from the initial evaluation, therapy frequency will be determined.
For most cases, sessions are held two times a week.
Blue Water Speech Therapy does not bill insurance directly for speech and language services. All services are private pay and the payment is the responsibility of the parent. The fees for evaluations and treatments are due the day the service is provided. Rates are subject to change. We accept cash, check and HSA.
Travel cost is included for locations that are within 15 minutes of our central location in Clarkston, MI. Additional cost varies by distance.
